IBAN
International bank account number: IBAN is used to identify a individual bank account in international transactions. IBAN is not applicable in INDIA. However it will be applicable when any Indian bank opens an account in other currencies in any other country.
Wire Transfer is one of the simplest modes of sending money to India. If you wants to make any transaction from other country to India, these following details are sufficient.
1. Account number
2. IFSC code number and Swift code.
Most of times we confused with SWIFT CODE, Bank Identifier code or BIC and IBAN. Swift code and BIC are basically to identify the bank. BIC is same as Swift code address.
